For macOS, there are two different versions available: The default version requires at least macOS 10.12 (Sierra). The legacy version provides support for older systems and 32-bit or PPC processors.
ClipGrab for Linux
ClipGrab is a GPLv3-licensed Open Source project and of course also available for Linux.
You can download a precompiled version that has been tested with the most recent version of Ubuntu. Alternatively, just grab the source code and compile ClipGrab yourself.

Which formats are supported?
ClipGrab can convert downloaded videos to MPEG4, MP3, OGG Vorbis, OGG Theora and WMV. It also supports downloading the original FLV or MPEG4 videos without conversion.
